What is a HPI Check?
A HPI Check is performed on any UK vehicle you are looking to buy. The HPI Check will confirm the identity of the vehicle. HPI Checks are performed by using over 60 million identities recorded with the DVLA and DVLNI.
This allows you to confirm the make, model, derivative, door plan, original colour, transmission and engine size. It will include a record of how many changes of keeper have been recorded. A HPI Check will confirm the true age of the vehicle, in terms of the year it was built and the date it was first registered at DVLA. This allows you assess the plausibility of its mileage, and its true value.
Your HPI Check also includes the HPI Guarantee (subject to terms and conditions) which provides up to £10,000 reimbursement of financial losses you suffer arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by HPI as part of the HPI Check. Visit HPI's website for more details.
